Occupational Therapy Services
Purpose: These are clinical, therapy-based services designed to address a diagnosed medical condition or functional impairment.
Scope: Focused on rehabilitation, recovery, or management of physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges that affect daily living.
Regulation: Usually provided under a physician’s order and often eligible for insurance reimbursement, depending on individual out-of-network benefits.
Examples: Helping a woman recover mobility and function after surgery, managing pain or swelling, improving balance to prevent falls, or adapting the home environment to support safety.
Setting: Delivered in the client’s home or virtually, focusing on medical and functional needs.
Wellness Consultations by an Occupational Therapist
Purpose: These are non-clinical services aimed at promoting overall health, prevention, and lifestyle improvement.
Scope: Focused on education, guidance, and strategies to enhance wellbeing, prevent injury, and support healthy habits.
Regulation: Not billable to insurance and does not require a medical diagnosis or referral.
Examples: Coaching on ergonomics for home or work, advice on healthy routines, stress management techniques, or strategies for aging well and maintaining independence.
Setting: Provided virtually.

We are an out-of-network provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, we can provide a superbill upon request for occupational therapy treatment services. You may be able to submit this to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.
Please note: Wellness consultations are non-clinical and not eligible for insurance reimbursement or superbill submission.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept HSA/FSA cards, as well as standard credit/debit payments.

For occupational therapy treatment services, a physician’s order is required in most cases to begin care—especially if you plan to seek reimbursement through insurance using a superbill. If you don’t already have one, we’re happy to guide you through the process of obtaining it.
For wellness consultations, no referral or doctor’s order is needed. These services are non-clinical and can be scheduled at your convenience.
