Dr. Caroline Rich, OTD, OTR/L, CWHS
I’m Dr. Caroline—founder, owner, and treating occupational therapist at Magnolia Women’s Wellness. It is my mission—and my privilege—to elevate women’s health and wellness care across the lifespan. I’m so glad you’re here.
My Focus
I provide holistic, whole-person care for women at every stage of life—from adolescence and motherhood to aging gracefully in place. My goal is simple: to ensure women feel seen, heard, educated, and supported through every stage and transition of womanhood.
My Background
I hold a B.S. in Human Development with a minor in Psychology from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!), as well as a Master’s and Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Shenandoah University. I am licensed by the Virginia Board of Medicine and hold a Certified Women’s Health Specialist (CWHS) credential through Evergreen Certifications.
My Journey
My career began in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital, followed by experience in home health, equine-assisted therapy, and assisted living. When I became a mom in 2021, I was struck by the gaps in care for women—an experience that deepened my passion for improving women’s healthcare.
My doctoral capstone—and subsequent published work and featured podcast episodes (part 1 & part 2)—focused on c-section recovery and the vital role occupational therapists should play in helping women transition safely from hospital to home. Despite c-sections being the most common surgery worldwide, there is still no standard for postpartum rehabilitation. I’m here to change that.
Beyond the Clinic
I’ve been married to my husband, Cody, since 2016, and together we have a beautiful daughter, two dogs, and a horse. When I’m not working, I love spending time with family and friends, being involved at my church, riding my horse through the woods, or curling up with a good book.
